It is well-known that the sea air can be like a breath of inspiration. Perhaps in Wismar it will help you come up with some creative new ideas at your next professional event. The conference rooms can be individually furnished, and the technology is state of the art. The hotel also offers the option of renting special rooms for your banquet events.

• Five flexibly combinable meeting rooms for up to 150 persons
• Air conditioning
• Banquet options in the council chambers of the Wismar town hall, directly next to the hotel
• Rustic vaulted cellars & parlour for evening events
Gewölbekeller TiTa
• Wismar lives from its medieval charm, and that is exactly what you will find in the Gewölbekeller TiTa. Dating back to the 14th century, the vaulted cellars will give your private or professional celebrations a cosy, down-to-earth setting. There is enough space for you to invite up to 100 guests. Let a local explain the origin of the name to you – it will be sure to make you “titter”.
Bürgerschaftssaal
• A special highlight for larger events is the Bürgerschaftssaal in the town hall, which is located right next to the hotel. Bright, with large chandeliers, fine parquet floors and stucco walls, the council chambers offer a stately venue for your celebration. If you’re looking for catering or full event service, then you’ve come to the right place. The Bürgerschaftssaal has enough space for 120 persons seated classroom-style, 200 in a theatre arrangement.
Salon Wismaria
• Are you looking for a place with a sophisticated, private atmosphere? Then Salon Wismaria, which directly adjoins the hotel restaurant and can seat 24 people, is a wonderful setting for your event. Turn your family celebration, private dinner or Christmas party in Wismar into a memorable event.
Meeting packages are submitted on request.
Where is the journey headed?
The Hanseatic city of Wismar is located on the Baltic Sea, directly on the Bay of Wismar. Shipbuilding, wood processing, photovoltaic technology and tourism are the main industries in this lively city today. Thanks to its seaport, an increasing number of cruise ships are anchored here. Wismar also was home to the legendary and notorious pirate Klaus Störtebeker.
Discover Wismar
Thanks to its nearly unchanged medieval town structure and well-preserved harbour basin, Wismar was jointly inscribed with Stralsund on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2002. Several monumental examples of religious architecture complete the historic ensemble. Wismar also offers many traces of the Hanseatic League with its unique history.
A stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage site
With its red brick churches and impressive market square lined with restored townhouses, Wismar has one of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Germany. Before exploring the World Heritage city on your own, visit the free exhibition at World Heritage House, complete with artefacts and stories about the city.
Around the market square
The one-hectare market square is home to many elegant buildings with historic façades, including your hotel. Also of note is the famous Alter Schwede, one of the oldest townhouses in Wismar, with an imposing Brick Gothic façade. The beautiful waterworks fountain in the centre of the square is a symbol of the city. It once supplied 220 houses and 16 wells with spring water.
A walk through the old harbour
The old port of Wismar was an important trading centre in the Baltic Sea area during the Hanseatic period. Today it is more of an open-air museum, as the industrial port has settled elsewhere. On a stroll past the historical and modern buildings, the Hanseatic flair will seem to come alive. Or put to sea aboard the Wissemara, a replica of a medieval cog.
The street is called what!?
The hotel is located directly on the historic “Tittentasterstraße”. The street, which no longer exists today, was so narrow that people would inevitably come into contact with each other in passing. This gave rise to its unofficial name: “Tit-Touching Street”. So don’t be surprised when you see people stop to laugh by the side entrance of the hotel every now and again.
See the sea
Want to go island hopping? Then book a passage to the island of Poel. Here you will find the finest sandy beaches, small fishing villages and impressive nature. From May to September a passenger ferry shuttles between Wismar and the island’s main town of Kirchdorf. Traveling time: one hour. The island can also be reached year-round by taking bus line 430.
If you’re in a learning mood
Numerous experiments and interactive exhibits await at the PhanTECHNIKUM technical museum, giving visitors a chance to learn something new. And because knowledge makes you hungry, your museum visit is best followed by a delicious piece of cake at Café Glücklich.
Additional meeting equipment on request.
