The gold-gilded details of our solid wood furniture and the hand-carved golden eagle overlooking the bed are a real attention getter. Different floors are decorated in varied color schemes: sometimes a passionate red with subtle gold details, some display a royal blue with a crème-colored background. Every room in our hotel "Goldener Adler" shows attention to detail and a very personal and cultivated style.
The „superior“ double room with its size of 23 m² is a very spacious room and offers a com-fortable sitting area with bathroom, shower and WC. A matching tile stove separates living and sleeping area of our „exclusive” double occu-pancy room (34 m²). The very spacious bath-room in white marble is equipped with a toilet, steam shower and steam sauna, light and radio, bathtub, bidet and hair dryer.

The Loretosaal is an ideal conference and event room and is outfitted with modern multimedia equipment (projector, screens and loudspeakers) for effective and creative presentations.
We have a small conference room with a fireplace available for private meetings and dinners.

surrounded by fruit orchards and wineries on both sides of the valley and a breathtaking nature backdrop of the Dolomites and the Sarntal Alps.
The medieval walls surrounding the city center allow for romantic strolls along the promenade. A world famous artist stopped here during his journey to Italy about 100 years ago: The famous painter by the name of Albrecht Dürer. Even today, the South Tyrol city of Klausen is called "Dürerstadt" (eng. City of Dürer). The countless heritage-protected buildings, crenellated facades, artfully painted alcove balconies and the cast-iron inn and pub signs offer one of Italy's most beautiful cities.
Some of Klausen's places of interest are the Loretoschatz at the Stadtmuseum, the Liebfrauenkirche and many other churches and chapels, the Torturm, "Branzoll" fortress and the Säben Benedictine monastery, one of the oldest pilgrimage sites of Tyrol.
As early as spring hiking is possible, as well as Nordic walking tours amidst the blooming orchards all around Klausen. Summer time offers meadows in full bloom, grape vines, rushing waterfalls and chestnut groves for easy strolls and hiking that is more advanced and mountain bike trails between the summit of the Sarntal Alps in the west and the Eisack Dolomites in the east. If you prefer to take it easy, come join us at the bike path that leads you by Klausen, through the Eisack Valley from Bozen all the way to Brixen.
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year in our Eisack Valley: Nature puts on its colorful coat and shines in all her beauty. Farms and taverns open their doors for you and invite you to join in a centuries-old South Tyrolean tradition; Törggelen (Törggelen got its name from traditional harvest wine tasting around the "Torggl" (wine press), everyone comes together to taste the newly pressed wine - and celebrates. Traditionally simple foods are served at Törggelen).
