Arriving by car
From Eleftherios Venizelos/Athens International Airport Exit the airport onto the Attiki Odos Toll Highway, in the direction of Elefsina. Proceed until Junction Y4 Ag. Paraskevi, which leads to Messogion Avenue. Follow Messogion Avenue to the city center of Athens. At the end of Messogion Avenue, turn left onto Vas. Sofias Avenue. Continue for 2km until you arrive at Syntagma Square.On the first traffic lights you have to turn on your left and then on the first traffic light right on Mitropoleos street.After the Mitropolis church on your left you will see Plaka Hotel. Travel time is approximately 50 minutes.

By Bus: There is a direct route to Syntagma Square on the X95. A single fare costs 3,20 euro (2010). Don´t forget to validate your ticket. From Syntagma square you have to walk down Mitropoleos Street, for few minutes. After the Cathedral you will see Plaka hotel on your left. Buses run all day and night every 20 min appr. By Metro: From the airport you could take the metro direct line number 3 until Monastiraki Square. The train runs every 30 min.The journey is about 40 minutes. It operates from 06:35- 23:35. A single fare costs 6 euro(2010). Don´t forget to validate your ticket. From Monastiraki Square you have to walk up Mitropoleos Street. On the second street on your right you will see the hotel. By Taxi: The journey is approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The cost is not more than 40-45euro, with an extra charge during the evening. If you are asked for more, ask for a receipt and write the number of the taxi
